Woman to Woman Fund
Small grassroots women’s organisations across the UK whose work falls under one of Rosa’s four pillars are supported by grants of up to £25,000 from the Woman to Woman fund. The programme gathers its funds from the ‘Tampon Tax’.
Each year the programme shifts its focus to a new theme. In 2019, to celebrate 100 years of some women having the right to vote, the programme centred on leadership and representation. We paid particular attention to work that increases women’s representation, skills building, and civic engagement. If you’re a funded organisation, we have new guidelines for reporting on your grant.

The Woman to Woman fund supports a diverse range of charitable work that benefits women: that’s everything from domestic abuse support services and tackling sexual harassment, to getting more women into parliament – and much more.
We also know the importance of increasing the impact and sustainability of women’s groups. That means grants can pay for core costs like financial management, business planning, staff salaries, office rent, leadership development, and staff training, as well as project costs such as drop-in support services, mobilising volunteers, and outreach.
In each of our programmes we want to support groups that work with disadvantaged communities or in disadvantaged areas.
The latest round of the Woman to Woman programme awarded grants of £114,017 to 10 women’s organisations, with a focus on work that increases women’s representation, and develops leadership and civic engagement.
“We have been able to run face-to-face workshops with 43 girls, which has meant that through that engagement, we’ve gained a better understanding of what matters to them and the types of barriers they face in getting careers in technology/STEM.” – Woman to Woman grantee.
This webinar, which took place on 8th December, discusses the Woman to Woman fund, its aims and purposes and the application process. We also answer any queries or questions that attendees had.
