Rise Fund Impact Report
The Rise Fund supported grassroots organisations by providing two-year grants of up to £40,000 specifically for organisational development to organisations led ‘by and for’ Black and minoritised women and girls across the UK.
The impact report gives an insight into the first round of funding in 2021, and what has been achieved so far. The Rise Fund’s impact demonstrates how targeted investment in organisational development, combined with flexible core funding, can transform grassroots organisations into sustainable institutions.
The report highlights include:
- Grants awarded: £1,387,546
- Number of organisations supported: 35
- Number of women and girls supported: 12,451
- For every £1 invested in organisational development, grant holders raised £2.07 in additional funding
- Grant holders reported the funding helped them to develop stronger foundations, to develop leadership and strategic planning, to improve their operations, and build stronger networks.
