Funding for a thriving women and girls sector
Rosa distributed 61 grants worth over £900,000 through our Stand With Us and Voices from the Frontline programmes in 2024-25.

Rosa’s Stand With Us Fund provides support to frontline organisations working to address male violence against women and girls (VAWG) across the UK. Voices from the Frontline invests in campaigning and advocacy work.
Grants ranged in size from £6,090 – £25,000 and were distributed to organisations across the United Kingdom.

We also evaluated previous rounds of our Rise and Stand With Us funds, capturing the powerful impact of Rosa’s grant making on women’s and girls’ organisations.

Building for a resilient sector
Rosa’s annual conference brought the sector together to discuss challenges and opportunities – 2024 was our biggest event so far, with over 400 online participants and outstanding feedback.

We also delivered 55 hours of essential free training to over 100 organisations. Our programme of training and networking aims to build skills, confidence and peer support to connect and develop the women and girls sector. These sessions are particularly important for smaller frontline organisations, and those with limited training and networking opportunities. 98% of attendees rated training sessions as excellent or very good.

Inspiring investment for a sustainable sector
Rosa aims to use our unique position as a UK-wide funder of the women and girls sector to engage and inspire other funders and philanthropists to invest more.
Working closely with key funders, we encourage more support and build sustainable funding across the UK. We also push for changes with statutory funders to make sure funding for women’s and girls’ organisations reflects the value of their expertise.
For example, Rosa co-chairs the Association of Charitable Foundations Violence Against Women and Girls Issue-Based Network, where funders share learning and practice about their work to end male violence against women and girls. And in March 2025 we held a panel discussion on The Power of Collective Action, showcasing the tangible changes achieved by organisations funded through Rosa’s Justice and Equality and Stand With Us programmes.
Rosa needs to fundraise every penny we spend on our work, so we’re working to grow our network of donors, allowing us to keep supporting, empowering and influencing lasting change.
“At Rosa, we see the extraordinary, transformational work of women’s and girls’ organisations every day — providing life-saving and life-changing support to individuals, strengthening communities, and contributing to a more just society. As well as providing sisterhood, solidarity and hope to individuals, it gives us the opportunity to create lasting change for society if we choose to invest.”
