Rosa’s partnership with Cummins Powers Women continues with new grant

Rosa is delighted to continue its partnership with Cummins Inc.’s Cummins Powers Women program, a global community initiative to advance gender equality around the world, with a new grant to support its work.

Cummins Powers Women creates large-scale change by partnering with expert nonprofits like Rosa. Through this partnership, Rosa will help deliver the changes that women and girls in the UK need to thrive.

Cummins has supported Rosa since 2018, reaching more than 100,000 women and girls. With this new partnership, the goal is to reach 300 organisations directly and 113,500 women and girls.

“Cummins’ support to Rosa since 2018 has been crucial in enabling Rosa to help make the UK a safer, fairer and more equal place for women and girls,” said Rebecca Gill, CEO of Rosa. “This next partnership will be transformational, securing our future for the next three years and enabling Rosa to expand our support to the women and girls sector.”

Rosa’s work is entirely dependent on charitable funding. Support from Cummins will fund the organisation’s grant-making programmes – Voices from the Frontline, Stand with Us Fund and Rise fund. Rosa’s capacity-building programme and conference will also be funded, helping to strengthen and sustain organisations from the UK women and girls’ sector.

The long-term impact of legislative and policy change achieved through supporting the Voices from the Frontline programme over three years could potentially improve the lives of 51% of the UK population.

Today, Rosa launches the Voices from the Frontline Fund, now on its seventh round of funding. The fund offers grants of up to £10,000 over an 18-month period to women’s and girls’ organisations to support campaigning and influencing work that enables women and girls to use their voice to achieve change.

Rosa is proud to champion the campaigning and influencing work of women’s and girls’ organisations. We recognise that every progress in culture, law and practice in women’s and girls’ lives over the last two hundred years has been pioneered by women and girls, organising and mobilising.

Women’s and girls’ organisations are at the forefront of addressing social issues and we believe change comes about when women and girls who have lived experience of injustice and inequality get heard.

However, there remains a critical need for funding for women’s and girls’ organisations to deliver activism and campaigning to raise awareness of the issues women and girls face. This is why the Voices from the Frontline fund exists.
