Rosa’s Stand With Us fund is now open for applications, offering one-year grants of up to £28,000 to organisations in the UK delivering frontline services addressing male violence against women and girls.
Organisations led by women are vital in supporting women and girls who are affected by male violence, but many of these organisations face severe underfunding and are struggling to meet escalating costs amid rising demand.
The Stand With Us fund exists to help address these challenges through investment in organisational development, supporting organisations to become stronger and more effective.
Grants for organisational development
Stand With Us grants support women-led organisations with areas such as strategy, governance, leadership, movement building, alliances, fundraising, impact, systems and processes and communications, allowing them to better meet the needs of women and girls affected by male violence, and to influence wider change for all women and girls across the UK. Grant holders are also offered additional support through a programme of training on topics such as safeguarding, finance, fundraising, governance and social media, plus opportunities to network.
“The impact of the Stand With Us fund has been phenomenal and we’re incredibly grateful for that support. There are no other funds like Rosa. Thanks to this funding, we’re able to manage the organisation better and make sure it’s safe and in line with policies, procedures, and regulations. We’re more sustainable, robust and better able to meet the needs within the community.”

Impact of Stand With Us grants
Stand With Us grants have allowed organisations to become stronger by investing in themselves, for example developing fundraising, organisational strategy, adopting new systems, or improving data management to allow better learning and reporting. The organisations that received a grant from the first round of Stand With Us quadrupled Rosa’s investment, raising £4 for every £1 invested.
“The funding we have received has had a huge impact on our work and in particular our ability to raise funds which will continue thanks to our new Fundraiser. This funding was very timely for us and has had significant benefits”

Investing in women’s and girls’ organisations
The Stand With Us fund, now opening for its third round of grants, was originally started in 2021 with money raised by Reclaim These Streets in the wake of the appalling kidnap, rape and murder of Sarah Everard by a serving Metropolitan Police Officer. To develop the grant making approach and criteria, Rosa worked with an Advisory Group including Rosa Trustees, Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) experts from across the UK and representatives of Reclaim These Streets. The decision-making panel includes representatives of the women and girls sector. Organisations can apply for up to £28,000 to fund areas related to organisational development.
Rebecca Gill, CEO of Rosa said: “The depth and breadth of the work done by women’s and girls’ organisations working to address male violence cannot be overstated. Misogyny, sexism and discrimination against women and girls persist and that the women and girls sector needs consistent, regular and reliable funding to address the range of issues that arise from this. Funding these organisations must be top priority.”
The Fund will close for applications at 4pm on Monday 22nd June. Visit the fund page for more information about the Stand With Us fund, including how to apply, application guidance and FAQs.
Thanks to our funders for making the Stand With Us fund possible. Rosa has to raise every penny we give out in grants. In the last round, the Stand With Us fund received ten times more applications than we could fund. If you can help support Rosa’s work financially, you can find out more here.
S.H.E. UK received a grant through the second round of Stand With Us in 2024. Chief Executive Lisa Lenton spoke at the Rosa conference in 2025 about the organisation’s peer support work with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, exploitation and sexual violence.
