The 4M Mentor Mothers Network trains women living with HIV across the UK as Mentor Mothers, delivering trusted, peer-led support throughout pregnancy and beyond.
With the right care, respect and support, women living with HIV can have babies born without HIV and experience safe, supported pregnancies, births, and breastfeeding. However, women living with HIV continue to face significant inequalities.
Through the Rosa Voices from the Frontline grant, Mentor Mothers will lead a peer-designed campaign to improve access to breastfeeding and lactation support—an area where women living with HIV continue to face gaps in guidance, confidence, and care.
“The grant will allow us to gather evidence, influence practice, and create culturally grounded resources that truly reflect women’s realities. We deeply appreciate Rosa’s commitment to amplifying women’s voices and investing in work that is led by and for women living with HIV.”
